Diamonds Do Good Awards, 2017

What’s so wonderful about being at an event that has the word diamonds in it, is that we get to freely talk about love.

—David Oyelowo, actor/philanthropist

In 2017, the Diamond Empowerment Fund honored David Oyeleow, Her Excellency Graça Machel, and Helzberg Diamonds at their annual Diamonds Do Good Awards Gala. The Gala was held at the Four Seasons hotel as the kickoff to the JCK Las Vegas show. Above, is a highlight video of the event.

Parlagreco served as the creative team and producing team for the event, coordinating with the presenters, speakers, honorees, and equipment and technology support vendors.

The Diamond Empowerment Fund is a global organization whose mission is to support initiatives that develop and empower people in diamond communities worldwide.

We opened the show with a video featuring students from diamond producing regions of India and Africa who received a higher education thanks, in part, to financial support from the organization. The scholars’ voices filled the room reflecting on what access to higher education means to them. Later in the evening, some of the same students took the stage to share their personal stories.

We also created tribute videos for each of the inspiring honorees, showcasing how they epitomize the Diamonds Do Good message. Those videos can be seen on our YouTube page here.
